Changed definition could have helped Khadr’s case

The Vancouver Sun reports that members of the Obama administration looked to re-write the law-of-war murder definition central to terror suspect Omar Khadr’s defense.

The Pentagon-issued Manual for Military Commissions issued on the eve of Khadr’s April 28 hearing failed to incorporate this landmark change because the vailidity of military tribunals themselves remain a point of contention amongst government officials.
